A thin rock section of Kentallenite was viewed using crossed polarising filters. This is an igneous known locally as ‘Black Granite’ Contains olivine, pyroxene, biotite and feldspar.

From Kentallen, in the Great Glen, Lochaber. Not known elsewhere.

Silver plated cufflinks with a glass dome. The image has been printed on glossy metal so that both the metal and the magnifying glass dome reflect light. This means that as you move the cufflinks the image has real depth and almost appears 'alive'. Cufflinks measure 18mm across (16mm glass dome) and 25mm deep (from the back of the swivel mount to the front of the glass dome). Supplied in a gift box with a description of the image.
