Chemistry Face Mask - Citric Acid crystals microscope photograph (FM5)

A solution of citric acid was evaporated on a microscope slide to form crystals. By viewing these crystals using polarised light microscopy, amazing and interesting colours and patterns are seen. This is due to the crystals forming regular arrays and interfering with the light path to give the colours seen (no colours were changed using Photoshop).

These facemasks measuring 13 x 17.5cm have a full coverage print on their polyester front with a soft white cotton reverse. They come complete with 2 replaceable PM2.5 filters (8.5 x 12cm) that fit in a pouch between the outer and inner and soft elasticated ear loops (which come with rubber gromets to adjust for size but I normally just tie a loose knot in the elastic).

Please note that these are not medical grade masks but they are perfect for general use. 

(Washing instructions - facemask machine wash at 40C, PM2.5 filter handwash. PM2.5 filter can be replaced with folded up kitchen roll.)
