SCIENCE PENDANT - ROSE STEM SECTION BY DARKFIELD MICROSCOPY (P11)
A thin section was hand cut from a rose stem and stained with Toluidine Blue. By viewing the section by darkfield microscopy the individual cells can clearly be seen. There were actually several air bubbles in this mount and these are seen as 'balloons' in the image, but despite this being a scientifically 'poor' section it gives a very attractive image.
These colourful and interesting microscope photo pendants are 22mm in diameter and measure 34mm from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant. The pendants are silver plated and supplied with an 18 inch (45cm) silver plated chain. (If you require a different length chain please put a note in the 'special instructions' box in checkout). The image has been printed onto glossy metal which is sealed underneath a glass magnifying dome. As the images are printed onto metal there are reflections from both the metal and the glass resulting in the image having more 'depth'. Great gifts for teachers or recent graduates.
