Mica Schist from Loch Eilt, Scotland rock thin section Keyring (K60)

A thin rock section of Mica Schist was viewed using crossed polarising filters. This is a metamorphic rock which shows two different types of mica with a background of quartz and feldspar.

From Loch Eilt, Lochaber, Scotland. Part of the Moine Schists. 900 million years old, when the most advanced life was single celled algae in the ocean.

Silver coloured high quality metal keyrings with a colourful dye-sublimation printed picture of a microscope image on one side that gives a durable and scratch resistant finish.

Keyrings measure 42x25mm (measured without including ring).

Supplied in a presentation box with a label describing the image.
