Geology earrings - Mica Schist from Loch Eilt, Scotland rock thin section Earrings (ER60)

A thin rock section of Mica Schist was viewed using crossed polarising filters. This is a metamorphic rock which shows two different types of mica with a background of quartz and feldspar.

From Loch Eilt, Lochaber, Scotland. Part of the Moine Schists. 900 million years old, when the most advanced life was single celled algae in the ocean.

Earrings are printed onto one side of 0.5mm thick Aluminium (reverse side plain Aluminium finish) to give a lightweight and durable glossy and scratch resistant earring.
Aluminium discs measure 16mm in diameter and are mounted on either silver plated or hypoallergenic surgical steel earring wires (please choose from the drop down menu). Please note that due to the nature of the metal the surgical steel hooks are slightly less bright and shiny than the silver plated ones shown in the image. They still look great though!
Total length from top of earwire to bottom of disc 32mm.
